This is a program started under Republicans and approved by an almost total majority of Republicans. Obama signed off on the reauthorization in 2012, but then again he governs mostly like an early 2000's moderate Republican, so there ya go.

Government should only be tracking people that they have strong suspicion of terrorist or anti-American activity, not citizens in general.
