It looks like it to me. Is that normal for turf fields? I kinda like, but don't think I would like it every game.

Just like KStates. I hate them. Huge advantage at home for teams. You can just slap a ground ball and it will take a bye hop. I saw that Louisville also has the turf with painted dirt.

Seems like a of teams are doing that. I think Oregon has it too....except it is the whole field. Louisville too.

It should be dirt, but it's brown field turf. The ball can't bounce the same as dirt I would think.

I've seen Vandys Kemp have more slap base hits than the WCWS in Oklahoma City

So for teams that don't usually play on the turf....do they wear their spikes or do they have turf shoes just for that one trip?

Was wondering that myself. You would think spikes would tear some knees to shreds.

Really don't think it should be allowed. For a game all about tradition, turf seems lame to me.

Yea yea I know teams like Oregon, Nebraska, etc etc wouldn't have grass til May but it completely changes the way routine plays are handled. No excuse for southern teams like Vandy and Texas to have that shite.

You are in NASHVILLE!!!!! You should have grass, if you want to be considered Southern. UMiss and UAark have forfeited those descriptions. Pussies.

Only reason we have it in football is because we couldn't get the real shite to grow. By the time October rolled around the grass was dead and was just clumps.

Hell even during the summer it looked dead. There was some kind of of fungus in the roots/dirt from my understanding.

I remember it being some sort of fungus and y'all had us even come in and look at it to no avail. Or was that for the Grove and trying to get grass to grow there? Hell, maybe I don't remember but the fungus at the Vaught rings a bell.

Wasn't The Grove. That isn't a problem. By November it doesn't look it's best...but that's understandable.

If y'all weren't so proud, you could have asked for help. We would have come running.
