8. Which state is threatening the big three of Florida, Texas and California with top-end talent?
Last year, it was clearly Georgia playing the role of a big three state with Robert Nkemdiche, Lawson, Montravius Adams and Alabama transplant Reuben Foster, among others. This year, it's clearly Virginia with Hand, Blanding, Andrew Brown and others. But keep an eye on Alabama after Monday's Rivals100 release and Tuesday's Rivals250 release. Just saying, keep an eye on that state.

Alabama has a long way to go to be in the conversation of HS talent with Georgia.

hmm, amazing Louisiana was not even mentioned in that question or answer.
I dont know much about their guys but if it's better than the La crop, they must be stacked.

I'm no recruiting guru by any means, but I agree with you. I have heard much more news on LA kids here in AL than I have heard regarding in state kids. Unless there is just some under the radar lineman studs that aren't getting as much press. Who knows, it is all subjective. Especially at this point in the process.

There's a lot more influx of 4-star really good guys this yr, but not even close to the top of the ranks like La has
I think the 3 marquee guys in the state (when you look back 4 yrs) will be Jordan Sims OL from Homewood, Roc Thomas, & Marlon Humphrey
That's 1 guy (Humphrey) who is a shoe-in 5 star top talent, compared to La's 3 (Fournette, Cam Robinson, & Speedy Noil) & then Gerald Willis is up there at DE, but not as good as Hand from Va or Carter from Ga

You think Noil is a 5 star lock?

There are a lot of players that got overlooked the 1st time, players like Stephen Roberts, Josh Casher, Taylor Stallworth, Cole Hardin, and Malik Rosier.
Even a player like Shaun Hamilton was proven to be under ranked by his performances leading to an invite to the 5* Challenge...

Speaking of which:

I'm sorry, but I don't buy that. He's a nice player, solid 4*, but not nearly a top-50 player nationally.
Edit: not an AL player, but not having Elisha Shaw in the top 100 is retarded. He must have skipped their camp.

I agree. no way hamilton is the no. 37 player in the country. bama bias at its greatest.

there's no question these sites give preferential treatment to the dudes who attend their camps... it cheapens the rankings, IMO.

Camps rule all, especially site exclusive ones. Not sure why they didn't wait until they did the 5* Challenge though, seems like a proving grown for less "flukish" performances.
I believe Shaw was still working on his knee, so I don't think he was able to do anything on it.
Hamilton destroyed RCS Birmingham, earning LB MVP on guys formerly in front of him(1 still is). He's a prototypical LB with downhill power and range in coverage. He's 6'/6'1" 240 and was compared to Foster on the hoof.
Top 50 may be a little high, but LBs as a whole are a little higher than they should be. Top 100 for sure...

To all the people bitching, have you watched film (not highlights) of all of these guys? Have you seem a lot of them in person at camps, and in games? Would you have any clue as to what you are looking for?
The answer is obviously no, so why do you think you are a recruiting expert?

I guess we can now shut down the recruiting board. Nothing to talk about.
