Was there ever a moment that tested your fandom?

The year 2000 was very tough on me (being in junior high in a very Auburn town didn't help either) and I remember being tempted to not wear my Bama cap just to avoid the jeering. Ultimately I stood my ground, but good gahd! that stretch was tough.
ETA: 2003 was garbage too but I lived in a more 50/50 town by then

Nope. As far as football goes, apparently I'm a masochist.

No, although the Colorado and UCF losses were terrible.

I watched Mike Dubose make a mockery of Alabama football, but it never once made me reconsider my "fandom".

Nope.
It's great to be a Florida Gator.

I've been pissed at UGA football on quite a few occasions, whether it's game performances or off-the-field troubles, but it hasn't upset me enough to stop following them.
If stuff like that makes you throw the towel on your team, you either aren't a real fan or you need to lighten up when it comes to college sports.

Only time I ever switched teams was switching from the Lakers to the Hornets when Shaq left(I have no ties to CA, from NOLA).
As for LSU. HELL NO. I love VCU, and they are a better basketball team, but I would still root for LSU against them. Even wore a LSU coat to my last VCU game(Grant's last year)

As a proud Mississippi State Bullfrog I am proud of my team no matter what.
But then there were the croon years.

There are too many to count within the last 10-15 years as an Aggie. Holy shite was that painful.

Yes, Clemson game of '97 with Fat Bradstard Scott at the helm. We're up 21-0 and in total control and that stupid bastard calls a double-fake reverse on the 19 yard line that is returned 81 yards by the taterheads for a TD just before the half ... we lost 47-21.
Stupidest fricking play in the history of college football.
Yes,l that tested my fandom. Especially when they announced he was coming back for another year in which he went 1-10 ... should'uve been fired immediately after that game.
Yes, my fandom was seriously tested.

I won't say I have seen it all, but as a poor sidewalker, I have been a fan of LSU fan since the late 80's(living in Memphis, one other LSU fan in my school). I will always be an LSU fan(though for a few weeks at the beginning of the 2010 season, I was thinking Miles needed to go,then we beat UF)

The Stoernover.
I was still just staring at the tv, dazed, for about 4 hours after the game.
