Butch Jones has won 4 conference championships in 6 years as a head coach.

Malzahn won with Hugh Freeze's players in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Freeze has the slight edge on Malzahn simply because he has a year of SEC experience under his belt. Other than that, they're a push IMO. Very, very similar careers.

Why are people so damn stupid? I hate Saban's guts but I would never put him as the 6th best coach in the SEC below 3 coaches that have never won a damn thing.

Any SEC coach list that doesn't start out as: 1) Saban 2)Miles is a flawed list. Sorry they are the two top coaches in the SEC.

I don't know.

Maybe. I view Les much like I do Richt. The others ahead of them don't have the built in advantages Richt and Miles do. Except Saban obviously, but you can't put him anywhere other than 1.

ETA: However, I think I should put Miles ahead of Richt. Thanks for the help.

not necessarily. You could definitely make a case for Spurrier at number 2.
