What if the defense is in disarray while the HUNH is gashing it because players are out of position, not ready at the snap, getting injured trying to substitute but can't during a long touchdown drive?

It's coming. Teams are going HUNH in droves to negate Sabans multi-package power defense.

I hope the NCAA sees how dangerous to the players this hurry up style is and sets new rules to save our players from injury.

Not gonna lie, I thought the "HU" stood for Harvey Updyke when I read the title. No reason to make an acronym there.

Yes, very dangerous. Needs to be stomped out quickly.

A few of his off season hires are people with a lot of experience with HUNH offenses. I don't think he's going to be caught off guard. He knows they are hard to defend.

Injuries happen most when players get tired.

The hurry-up-no-huddle is very dangerous to the kids.

Hiring those coaches was a smoke screen. Saban knows the real investment was the cash he slipped to the REC to work on getting the rules changed.

Players tend to get tired when they're taught that weighing over 350 pounds is healthy so long as you can clog up a running lane (or two).

More CJ sized LBs, less Hightower sized LBs.

That's what our athletic director is for now. He bypasses the REC and goes straight to the NCAA.

I thinks it's all blown out of proportion. If the defense makes a stop then they're on the field a shorter amount of time and get MORE rest. Don't make a stop and they score quickly. If imagine it all comes out to a wash

ETA: The two SEC teams that we've seen play Oregon didn't seem to have much problem with it.

Tennessee made them look unstoppable a few years ago, and probably will again.

Will the HUNH catch Saban off guard

I doubt off guard. For whatever reason Coach Miles had it run a lot last year and from all reports Coach Cameron will use it extensively this year. I'm assuming Coach Malzahn will at AU also. I'm sure Coach Saban is aware of this.

No, teams are going HUNH because HUNH works against everyone. Huh.

LOL..caught off guard...what a crock! Nick Sabans revenge game process: 1: Beat Nick Saban 2: Give Saban a reason to beat you next time 3: Give Saban a whole year to plan to beat you next time 4: Think over the course of that next year you can actually beat him twice in a row 5: Accept reality of what is going to happen and know resistance is futile 6: Rematch game-time, witness the beat-down of the ages 7: Cry at halftime 8: Cry even more after the game 9: Receive the official plaque from Saban himself honoring how you and your team were just processed
10: Find it ironic that after the rematch your career never recovers 11: Months later you resign either due to a "heart issue" or because the AD told you get lost now or be embarrassed when your fired.

He's not much of a coach if he didn't have reason enough to win the first time.
