The people are rude, and arrogant. They walk around acting like they are better than others. They act as though they are cultured. As though they are in NYC or something. Even though the vast majority of the state is very rural. You wanna see rednecks? Come to Wisconsin. Everyone is an alcoholic. More taverns per capita than any state in the country. The two largest lobbying groups in Madison are the teachers union, and the tavern league. One of the few states where an OWI conviction is not punishable by jail time. It takes FOUR of them before you get a felony. If you kill someone while diving drunk, you MIGHT get two years.

Back to the people. Very racist. Large populations of Hmong and Hispanics here. They are treated like $hit. The hicks here are by far the most racist people I have ever lived around. And the funny thing, they point their fingers at southern states when talking about race relations. Go to Milwaukee and Racine, the only two areas with any African American population, and ask them about race relations in this state. They will tell you. My wife, who grew up here, saw her first African American when she was 14 years old as they were traveling down the interstate with her family through Milwaukee. Yet, they believe they know how to live in harmony with those of other ethnicities. They will preach to others about race. All while never working with other races, never going to school with other racess. This is a lilly white, hick state. Full of ignorant drunks.

The weather absolutely sucks . You get two...yes, two decent months of weather. Aug, and Sept. I have spent numerous 4 of July nights watching fireworks, wearing a jacket under a blanket. There is no spring. It's just a continuation of the same cold,dreary, snowy, windy crap winter. Fall is nice. That's the two days that the leaves turn to beautiful colors, before the first freeze and dusting of snow.

Did I mention the people? They suck. Drunks. Arrogant. Self centered. The most inhospitable people I have ever been around.

Wisconsin is a tax hell. And for those high taxes, you get nothing. The education here is nothing to really crow about. They spend more money on it, sure. But seriously. Judging by the results. It's nothing special. Regardless of what you might read. Really dumb people. They fluff up their numbers here because they are able to remove the test scores and grad rates from the Milwaukee Area School District, which, is among the worst school districts in the country. In removing those numbers, the other districts in the state look better. But trust me. The public education system here is nothing special. Back to taxes. Are the roads better than elsewhere? Nope. Not really. High taxes for nothing.

Large native American presence. And they too, are treated like dirt by the good white people here. The names they are called. But, no, Wisconsin people are above that....yeah....ok.

UGLY PEOPLE. I mean, butt a$$ ugly. I think some of it is a result of centuries of alcohol abuse. It has resulted in generational fetal alcohol syndrome. Over time, it has altered the gene pool. Of this, I am quite certain. And let's just say there is no shortage of "Big and Tall" shops up here. So, I giggle when I read they refer to Mississipi as "fat". Hypocrites....but likely too drunk and stupid to realize it.

I've lived in Mississippi. Alabama. Tennessee. I've lived in Germany. I've spent a great deal of time in Texas. Ohio. Kansas. West Virginia.

Never, ever, have I encountered people so rude, so self centered, so unkind, as I find here.

In reading this, you will ask. Why am I here? Well, long story. But it is a result of a very poor decision, followed by another bad decision. It is what it is. But I retire in six short years. And as soon as the ink is dry, and that first check is in the mail, I intend on placing this God forsaken hell hole in my rear view mirror.

Go to hell Wisconsin. Seriously. Hope I don't offend anyone here. Perhaps one of you have a relative here. If I offended you, well. Sorry. But you'll have to get over it. Like everything, there are exceptions to the rule. Maybe your relative is an exception, and a fine hospitable individual. But odds are....they are exactly what I described in your typical Wisconsin A-hole.

PS....Milwaukee isn't a bad city to visit for the day.......and Lambeau Field is a special place. And Wisconsin Dells, while too expensive, is a good time for the family.
