I had a Bama coworker make this statement. Correct or deflecting?

It was a legit advantage against Oklahoma and Ohio State.

It was a negligible advantage against Alabama. I mean, shite, most people in MS & AL are Saints fans anyway. Sheesh.

Well, we got lucky with that, but we certainly got unlucky having to beat Bama twice in 2011, so I'd say it all evened out.

Not to mention the LSU-Bama game was far from a home field advantage, it was 50-50 crowd.

LSU and its fans don't decide where the national title game is played.

Dismissing the wins as nothing more than home field advantage. Sounds like a dumbass to me

we could have played ohio state in columbus with 10 men on the field and still won. oklahoma game was closer but the better team was very clear in that game too. they were lucky we fumbled on the 1 or we like would have routed them too.

We had to beat one of the best Bama teams of all time twice. We had to play Georgia while they sat on the couch and watched, thus getting more gameday tape to review.

It's all just so unfair. It's not like the dome was 80-20 LSU.

Agreed. I think it was 60/40 for OU and OSU and at best 50/50 for Bama. I think Bama may have had more.

lol so true. Our team was down 14 and people were still laughing on the sidelines.

Different levels of teams.

He and I have had discussions about the way the SEC has scheduled the past couple of years, so I asked him if his LSU comment deflects from that since bowl selection is unrelated.

I was there 1/9/12. It was 60/40 LSU. It just seemed like more Bama because LSU fans didn't make a peep after the first few drives.

But its an adavantage over most schools when 25% of all national title games are played in your backyard.

Maybe we should start a rotation of about a dozen cities?
