Grantham is a solid coach, but he's not all some make him out to be... I think UGA fans' thoughts are skewd after several years of Willie Martinez.

I agree with this; he's not done enough to show that he's really one of the top DC's in college football. He had a ton of talent and had one good season and one bad season after his transition year. I think he's a decent DC, but it'll really show what he's made of this year.
For what it's worth, I also think this why he doesn't get the Eagles job. An NFL team could get a much better DC for possibly less $$$, as he's getting PAID right now at UGA.

agreed... the eagles (or any NFL team) would have to overpay for TG at this point. Recruiting is a big part of what makes him a good coach, and obviously that does no good at the next level.
I like grantham... but he's probably third or fourth on the list of current SEC DCs (Smart, Quinn, Chavis).

Garner didn't suck at recruiting. But his D-lines sucked dick.

He didn't used to, but he did the last few years. Grantham is a pretty good recruiter, better than Garner has been since he got here. Todd isn't as good as Lilly, Bobo, BMac, or Richt.
Agree Rodney had completely given up any kind of coaching though.
He isn't leaving though. Eagles can do better and leaving to be a part of that situation would be a very poor move on Grantham's part. Kelly will be back in the college game within 5 years.

Shaq Wiggins said he's making a decision today per twitter. Mentioned Grantham possibly leaving. Related... Denzel Nkemdiche mentioned having "a good talk" with Shaq per twitter as well.
