Reading the other thread made me think that there is a comparison worth making between Alabama this year and UF in 2009.
The tears Macaroni shed were real I believe. To me it showed the tremendous pressure players feel to repeat as national champions. The kid was overwhelmed, much like Tebow. Tebow cried because he failed. Macaroni cried because he felt relief when he didn't screw it up for Bama. I personally think players are under tremendous pressure much like Florida was in 2009. Will they succeed? We shall see. It ain't no easy, and to me it is easier, for the team on the rise, than to the team who did it last year.

They're both bitches. You don't cry on the football field. If an LSU player cried I would call her a bitch too.

He didn't play his best game, but dug down and pulled it out. He's an emotional kid, and I love him for it!

Im not a big fan of the tears. To me, it shows that he's not mentally ready for the NFL.

I think that's complete BS. Terrell Owens was never afraid to show his emotions and he is one of the best wide receivers to ever play the game.

There were some lsu players in tears after the game. So yeah you can gfy. I don't see anything wrong with McCarron crying. Difference with him and tebow is that tebow plate a hell of a game, gave it all he had and still lost. McCarron knew he didn't have his best game, but still gave it all he could and was relieved to get the victory.

Tremendous pressure, yes. Tebow cries because his team let him down and he couldn't carry the weight himelf,Macarron cause he was over stessed.

I love it - now we psychoanalyze why Tebow and AJ cried. And in the middle of all the analysis, no mention of the fact that Tebow cried in a loss and AJ in a win.

The point is both were under ridiculous pressure.

I think most people who have played competitive sports will tell you that it was emotion, not pressure.

Tears aren't really that rare in a locker room. The only people who seem affected by them are internet fans.

What I really want to know is why in the frick this emotion thing is such a goddamn big deal to some people. If players show it, great. If not, great. Makes not one iota of fricking difference

ftr, I have no problem with displays of emotion on a sports field or whatever. Just think making an issue of it when you have no idea what these athletes are really going through is dumb.

im talking about mental maturity. A) a QB needs much more maturity than a WR and B) your argument is Terrell Owens? T.O., are you serious?
