Why is Mettenburger secluded from the team?

Don't give me that shite about binoculars can see plays on the white board being shown to Mett.
I've never seen a player kept in the corner off limits to his teammates on the sideline during the game like Mettenburger.
They actually put up walls around him. WTF?

The camera showed him talking to our QB coach and there were 2 receivers there with him, Boone and Wright.
