A poster on BOL summarizing what he said on the radio this morning:

quote:

About the recruiting process: "Starts off small, and it kept growing on me."

"It can get overwhelming, sometimes." Talking about the athlete he is: "Most of my body is God given, I thank God every morning I wake up."

About where he is in the process: "I didn't want to make a choice and not be sure about it." "I'm just going to wait til I'm really sure." He says it is between Alabama, LSU, and Clemson. Says those will be his last three visits.

About what he is looking for: "Starts with the coaches, then I look at the depth chart."

The most fun head coach to sit and talk with: "Nick Saban is all business. Dabo is more of an upbeat guy. Richt is a God fearing man, he's a good dude. Hugh Freeze is goofy too. Les Miles could be laughing one second, but he is still about his business."

On other recruits trying to influence his decision: Basically saying he is constantly badgered by recruits trying to recruit him. Singled out UGA recruits.

About the factors that are most important to him: "First off, I want to win a National Championship." "I want to have a really good relationship with the coach." "I want to be on the same page with all of the players." "I want to see where I am on the depth chart."

Heard some rumblings about him being tired of the process and ready to end it soon etc, he will visit starting beginning of June and then pick a school in about 2 to 3 weeks

Here's a summary from another poster:

quote:

Says LSU, Bama, Clemson, UGA, Ole Miss are his top 5. Richt, Dabo, Freeze are fun and kinda goofy, Saban is all business but he likes that. No other players' decisions affect his but some players recruit him to their choice. Coming back to Tuscaloosa for June camp but just to watch. Studied tape about how Cam answered questions from the media, big fan of Cam but AU not in picture. His mom is governor (I think he said) in Nigeria, lives with his QB who is going to MSU but doesn't pressure him to go there with him. Wants to win national championship first and foremost, wants to have great relationships with coaches and players, wants to see where he is on depth chart. Has more fun playing RB than DL, DL is more serious. Some colleges promising him an offensive package if he goes there, he doesn't buy it. Mickey Conn is a great coach and mentor, doesn't pressure him about college choice. Weighs about 275-280, eats lot of protein, not on diet.

Just broke up with his gf. Ha.

I have a very difficult time believing this. He seems to be loving "the process" more and more every day.

Heard he is trying to set up visits with LSU and Clemson atm to be final 3, he likes Ole Miss and UGA but they aren't in there and likely won't be 2 of final visits

If this is true now, how does this kid not grow into a DT once under a major college weight program.

I know the kid is a beast now, but he's obviously going to grow. Who wants a 310 lb DE?

Not what I mean.

Main point, how does he not grow into a DT?

I still don't think he's going to Clemson. People always say watch out for Clemson with him but I still just don't see it. I think its Bama/LSU/Ole Miss battle with Bama being the favorite.

Sounds like a perfect size for a 3-4 strong side DE to me.

Actually, I believe his girlfriend was on the Clemson side of his recruitment.

Unfortunately, I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up at Bama.

But I'm going to look into sending our bagman to Clemson to try to talk some sense into Dabo. $180,000 isn't that much.
