ESPN making 30 more "30 for 30"s Including one about Bo
quote:
There are new dimensions to the series, which will return this fall and span two years. The documentaries are being integrated with Grantland.com, the ESPN sports-culture journalism Web site whose editor in chief is Bill Simmons, the popular ESPN columnist and podcaster. Mr. Simmons prodded ESPN to produce “30 for 30,” and is an executive producer.
quote:
The new full-length documentaries will include films about the North Carolina State basketball team that won the N.C.A.A. men’s championship in 1983; the 100-meter final at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul whose winner, Ben Johnson, tested positive for steroids; Bo Jackson, the athletic marvel who played baseball and football and starred in the “Bo Knows” series of Nike ads. Two films that made their debut at the Tribeca Film Festival are also on the roster: “Benji,” about a high school basketball star in Chicago who was murdered in 1984, and “Broke,” about athletes who lose their fortunes.
LINK ETA: Seached "30 for 30" and "Bo" and didn't find anything. Though, I just woke up, so I could very easily just be being stupid.

Read this in the comments of a SBNation article about him
quote:
Speaking of college football Every time I think of Bo Jackson I end up thinking of Herschel Walker too. Who was more bat shite outrageous as a college athlete?
quote:
I don't know if I'm confident enough in the border separating Georgia and Alabama to debate this particular matter. Gotta add in Barry Sanders, too, though.
quote:
Yeah Spencer and I talked about this once and it just ended with us sharing Barry/Bo/Herschel YouTube videos back-and-forth for 25 minutes, laughing about how ridiculous they were.
Here's the article

I may be in the minority but I'd love to see a 30 in 30 on the Pine Tar bat incident with George Brett of the Royals. Dan vs Dave Decatathletes from the 1992 Olympics I think one on former San Francisco Giants pitcher Dave Dravecky, who lost his arm after a freak injury and failed attempted comeback. Just off of the top of my head.
