My main issue is they had the chance before and instead went with an absolute joke of a football conference. So again, frick 'em.

Well, I'm sure RG was getting it on with someone or something here.

If Florida is concerned about keeping FSU down, the best strategy might actually be to let them in the SEC and make them play the same schedule you do. It might take some time, but eventually FSU is going to dominate the ACC like they did in the 90's. They will have a clear and easy path to a conference title and playoff berth nearly every year. The only thing Florida can do to stop that is make them go 8-4 in the SEC. Head to head Florida is better in every way, but you give FSU an advantage by not making them compete with you on a level playing field. FSU is relevant today because of weak scheduling and weak scheduling is the only way they return to prominence.

Depends on who we add to get to 16

North Carolina (basketball!) and Virgina Tech.

Or maybe even Virginia (instead of Va Tech). If we want another Vandy. Virginia would bring a lot academic prestige wise. So it would depend on why we're adding them: football (Va Tech) or prestige.

That would bring in two teams from two new states, and regionally it makes sense. And watching the Kentucky meltdown over UNC would be epic.

I don't think UNC would come. They probably hang with UVA and go to the B1G. NC State is more probable as a partner with VT.

I'm just not sure, though, if FSU and Clemson leaving would cause the ACC to disintegrate.

Ugh. NC State is a big step down from UNC IMO. It couldn't be clearer. Kind of like if you had to pick between Alabama and Auburn.

But I could see positives with either UVA or VaTech.

I don't get why people keep saying FSU would become relevant by joining the SEC, because IMO it would be the opposite. Thus I DGAF if they join or not. STOP saying Florida fans are scared, because that isn't the case at all with most fans. We don't like F$U that is all.

I agree and honestly if the SEC got both that would be a home run combo to get to 16 imo
