Has to be Dooley
This is what I was thinking. MState fans are happy with going bowling and beating Ole Miss each year. Yeah, they want more for their program just as everyone else but they have been content with Mullen and this outcome. Tennessee has much higher expectations from their program in general and if Dooley isn't producing, he will be gone.

However, State is a dead end job IMO, do not many coaches will be successful there.
Mullen has done a great job so far. There are always rumors of other big programs wanting him when coaching jobs come up so how is MState exactly a dead in job.....

Couple years ago State showed some life and people expected them to continue to build on that. Last year they took a major step back, if they follow that up with equally disappointing season how hot is that seat?

I do not think so. I went to visit Mississippi State for a college visit, and the people in Starkville really like him. I heard even his wife likes it there, so it appears that both he and State fans all like him there.

Especially after this season, I think they have an opportunity to win 8 games.

who is starting those rumors about other schools targeting him..His PR people?..I dont know how serious anyone had him as their number 1..UF would have been prime target to call him home and they did not. I think Merlins hotness is a figment of his imagination and his PR people.

i think dan mullen is a good coach and msu would be crazy to let him go before he has a real good opportunity to win. his teams have been competitive; they just fall a little short. he's building the program right; start with an arse kicking defense and then build you offense. however, many think mullen walks on water and should be mentioned in the same breath as others that have achieved so much more. therefore, i think he's overrated by many.
