Here are some "very unofficial" stats from Georgia's scrimmage on Saturday morning. The quotes are from Mark Richt, who said the stat-keepers had a bad angle, so a few of the numbers may be off.
But they're numbers, so here you go:
PASSING
Aaron Murray ... 8-13, 125, 1 TD
Hutson Mason ... 12-19, 151, 2 TD
Parker Welch .... 5-10, 57, 1 TD
Christian LeMay ..... 3-6, 28
RUSHING
Ken Malcome .... 5-29
Isaiah Crowell .... 6-23
Brandon Harton ..... 6-11
RECEIVING
Marlon Brown ... 5-90, 1 TD
Justin Scott-Wesley ... 5-38, 1 TD
Taylor Bradberry ..... 4-72, 1 TD
Michael Erdman ..... 3-23, 1 TD
Jay Rome ...... 2-50
DEFENSE
Corey Moore ... 9 tackles, 1 INT
Ramik Wilson ..... 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 PD
Ray Drew .... 5 tackles, 1 sacks
Kwame Geathers .... 2 sacks
Chase Vasser .... 6 tackles
Connor Norman ... 1 int
Shawn Williams ... 1 int
SPECIAL TEAMS
Jamie Lindley 32 FG
quote:
The offense passed it much better than normal. But simulating the plays they tended to let a play go so in a real game there may have been more sacks.
Clearly, the younger offensive line is being dominated by the veteran defensive line.
"Oh yeah there's no doubt. the offensive ilne is ebing challenged every day. As you can see there wasn't a whole lot of room to run the football ... O-line's definitely got a way to go, there's no doubt about that."
- Maybe this has something to do with it: The two players Richt said has stood out the most are the nose tackles, Kwame Geathers and John Jenkins.
"They're making it tough on our centers," Richt said.

injuries
so far the offense has been getting lit up by the defense and our offensive line looks to be pretty raw and that's pretty bad because they were pretty damn inept last year. also seems the injuries are stacking up with our only non suspended DB Shawn Williams getting hurt as well as Keith Marshall being declared Doubtful for G Day. So now we are down to #crow, ken malcome, brandon harton, and kyle karemplis or something else really greek and white sounding.
also, the passing seems to at least have picked up and the AJC was saying Marlon Brown and Justin Scott-Wesley were the main threats. JSW is looking to become a real weapon and looks like everyone was right. also, ole Hutson outgunned Murray by 30 yds but for i guess he was up against the 2s. and it is kinda a bummer to see LeMay putting up only 28 yds

you are truly naive to read anything into the stats or what richt reports out of the practices and scrimmages

what could i possibly have posted that pissed off your dumb arse this time? get the sand out of your vag, alice, i said nothing that isn't true. the OL is raw and having issues, the defense is dominating, the offense is flaccid outside of the passing game, and there have been injuries.
i don't see why you always have to whine when you see one negative thing typed, especially when it is actually objective

i mean the defense is looking good but we really need the OL to pick it up
ETA: well shite, i guess i should've known better posting UGA anything on the Bobby Petrino Rant

You enjoy negativity for the sake of negativity. You are certainly not alone.

i mean if i had posted something anti richt i'd get you wanting to come knight for him and all but jesus man, all i did was tell it how it is. that's where this team is at, what about any of what i said do you really disagree with?

yea, emerson said that richt admitted that it was rough stat keeping. but crowell has also been said to be doing pretty well. haven't heard much on malcome but he showed a lot vs LSU and MSU.
but with the 12 sacks last scrimmage and the same comments coming out of butts mehre all spring it is hard to imagine the OL gave them that much room

It bodes well that the OL is getting their shite rocked now rather than later. Lets guys know what they need to work on over the summer, where they need to improve in the weight room and in technique. They can only benefit from playing the defensive guys we have. Plus, Theus, Pyke, et al have yet to arrive on campus. shite will get sorted out. I hope.

i like that gates has been solidified at LT, that is good news. and by all reports people are impressed by Kolton and co. problem is we see the longs, houston, and co all the time and we see them eat and it sure as shite doesn't look like they monitor it anymore.
and like last year i agree, this year really the spring can't tell all without the next class because some will be so instrumental
oh and durden i thought you'd appreciate this csb. we drove to a local head shop in athens that also sells cigars and of course no one is in athens right now so we didn't expect to see anyone. but of course who else do we see? half of the UGA OL
you can't even make that up

Jesus tapdancing...
the most unhealthy motherfrickers on the team are the ones getting piledriven in practice. eat like shite, smoke, look like shite. I too adhere to all of those, but c'mon, I don't have a football scholly to UGA!

seems like 2 spots are definitely solidified:
LT- Gates
RG- Burnette
Other spots open for debate:
LG- Dallas Lee, Kolton Houston, Mark Beard
C- David Andrews, Dallas Lee
RT- Austin Long, Watts Dantzler, John Theus
