Maybe we get a discount on the amount we pay them or something like that.

I hope we cut this deal, ULM is basically FCS caliber anyway

It's not a good idea to ever underestimate teams like LA-Monroe.

A one point victory over ULM certainly got the 2008 team's blood flowing...

I do hope we have a stronger OOC schedule for 2013. I kinda like having the Rutgers game but we need someone like Boise. The problem with them is that they want to make people ill with that blue field bullshite.

Pigs need to schedule a few big boys OOC. They might actully beat LSU, Auburn and Bama in the same year only to get passed over by Boise State becuse BSU actully plays one good OOC game.

This seems to be every fan's hope, wonder why we don't just do it. I'm fine with one good opponent and keeping the other crap squads (read: LSU)

I could give two craps who we schedule OOC to be honest.

Rutgers is fine by me. You beat Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Auburn all in the conference season and in the end OOC makes two flips.

If we go to 9 conference games in 2013, I really will not care who we play OOC.

We offered Boise and about 20 other teams a neutral site game in Jerry's house and we got turned down. Boise wanted no part of Arkansas next year and a bunch of other teams didn't either.

Another good thing about the Rutgers game is the New York market. Espn hypes up anything around NYC and this is a perfect opportunity.

Even moreso next year because it will be the first time an Sec team visits Pascataway.

Just seems dumb to schedule Rutgers.

You're not going to get much credit for beating them , but they're good enough to give you problems.

We didn't have many options. We had to schedule for THIS year. Most teams set their OOC opponents up years in advance.

Altough Rutgers was never a marquee program they have had a pulse in the last decade and will not count as negatively against Arkansas in the late season polls as would playing only regional pasties (UAB,ULM,Georgia State, MTU, Western Kentucky etc)ala Auburn the year they went winless but the unimpressed nation kept them out of the big game thanks to the easy OOC

We mainly scheduled Rutgers to try and gain a recruiting presence up in that region of the States. Petrino wants and needs to recruit nationally for Arkansas to stay in the mix.
