to recruit football talent. All of the HS games on the ESPNs got me thinking.

In Fla. Area between Orlando and Tampa and South Fla are the best. Really no weak areas to speak of.

How about the panhandle region? I know Wuerffel came from Ft. Walton Beach, I don't really recall of any other big players from the panhandle.

I would also say the Dothan/wiregrass region is really talent deprived.

Alabama signs someone out of there quite often. It's far, and few between, from the blackbelt. And Alabama sits in west central Alabama. So, it's not like we're just not getting them.

Nico and Craig Sanders are the only two I can think of in recent memory. Maybe I'm just subconsciously thinking of all the bad h.s. teams in that area.

Best: New Orleans and North Louisiana (Shreveport, Ruston, Monroe area)
Worst: I guess Southwest/Lake Charles area? Not really sure.

I think you might be confused. The "Mississippi River area" of Louisiana is most all of the southeastern portion of the state. That's where all of the talent is at to begin with. Now, the Louisiana Delta area below New Orleans, as it pertains to places like Cocodrie, Port Fourchon, or Venice would be my guess, just because of the simple fact that there's little population, relative to places further north of there.
