An SEC team played a Pac 10 team in the post-season in football? You'd think there would be at least one bowl with tie-ins involving SEC vs. Pac 10...just wondering.

Just a quick check - most recent I find is Florida played Washington in the 89 Freedom Bowl.
Others: Auburn played USC in the 87 Citrus Bowl; Bama played Washington in the 86 Sun Bowl; UGa played Arizona in the 85 Sun Bowl.
Last time LSU faced a PAC10 team in a bowl was the 77 Sun Bowl vs Stanford.

The bowls tend to be regionalized as much as possible to allow of the fan base to attend at as little cost as possible.
