He has certainly brought plenty of publicity. As passionate as i am about LSU, I would be very upset with his arrogance. Now Bring it on

Ultimately, he's just been a loud-mouthed jackass.

It takes a little more than that to tarnish the UT tradition.

he's a huge liability on that front though.

the guy is arrogant but if he keeps up his recruiting with Monte's defense I could see them returning to national prominence again.

Fulmer was very quiet rarely talking trash back to teams that regularly talked it about UT. The UT fans are likely pumped they have someone who is willing to have an argument through the press.

I don't think he has tarnished TN's image (of course I've never had much opinion of TN's image) just his. Although Sat. vs FL only helped.

If TN had any offense at all they might have been a much closer game. I think daddy Kiffin is one of the tops 3 defensive coordinators in the SEC if not the best.

I think it is too early to say. Tennessee has a great tradition and has a list of amazing players to set foot on that field. It would take a lot to tarnish the image of the program as a whole. Now if he never gets them to Atlanta, and ends up getting them in major NCAA trouble, then yes it may tarnish the image to a degree at least for a certain time period.

However, as we can see with what has happened in Tuscaloosa over the past 15 years it takes an awful lot (and I mean an awful lot) to tarnish the image of a program with a great history to fall back on.

I don't know if Saturday help Lane's image any other than solidifying the opinion that he would be nothing without his daddy on the staff.

Certainly you meant to say offense, right? I thought the defense held their own only giving up 300 yards and 2 TDs...It's the 210 yards of offense and 1 TD that did Tenn in.

When did it become a bad thing to have a little attitude and cockiness in this country? You don't like Kiffen, that's one thing, but to say he's embarrased himself is another. He's a solid coach who's made a few gaffes, nothing more , nothing less.

Calling out Urban Meyer as a cheater and being admonished by the head of the SEC ISN'T embarassing?

No, that was just silly. Embarrasing would be being caught with a hooker something along those lines. Every SEC coach privately accuses every other SEC coach of cheating. Heck, most of them are. The only difference here is that Kiffen's comment got made public. Notice that he wasn't singled out by the SEC Commisioner, because he wasn't the only coach doing it.

i just don't like the arrogance. Stop and think about it. Why should i be upset at a school who might start giving florida competition again? Might slow em down in recruiting as well? Tenn really does not hurt us in recruiting. I will say this, i always said if i had to choose another school to be a fan of and go to the games, it would have been Tenn. Not as long as he would be there. I think true tenn fans kinda cringe a little when he speaks.
