I don't disagree at all with his message butif he was a better example of sportsmanship and teamwork on the diamond maybe his message would be better received...ultimate Dbag...frick BH

In total agreement...participation trophies and teaching kids who do not do as well at academics or otherwise that they are just as successful is weakening the future generations. Very glad he did this, i know the far liberal left crowd will disagree but passing kids along who haven't learned anything or awarding kids who arent succeeding at proper level is essentially lying to them and needs to stop.

It's about time we all stop doing kids a disservice by deluding them into thinking that life will teach them anything more than the harsh realities that people only really care about winning. I think it's child abuse to not prepare them for the real world now. Why parents think lying to them helps them in any way shape or form is beyond me. If anything that builds resentment.
