LSU extended an offer to four-star defensive back Brad Stewart from New Orleans on this week.

Stewart, a 6-1, 195-pound prospect from McDonogh 35, received his offer from the coaching staff after a strong showing at LSU camp on Thursday. Per SECCountry.com:

Stewart must decide whether to give the in-state SEC power a chance in spite of the late offer or weigh the near-40 other schools he has been entertaining for much of the spring and summer. Stewart has been to LSU several times this spring, including the “Boys From The Boot” junior events and the Tigers’ spring game.

A source close to the situation believes Stewart may give further consideration to LSU after earning the offer because of his family. He is also very high on Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Miami and Florida. He will visit Gainesville for the Gators’ Friday Night Lights event.
Stewart is the No. 12 safety in the country and the No. 8 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2017, according to ESPN.
