He's an old fart and a punk. He loved to run up the score on anyone he could. The game passed him by just like it did Miles except Miles is a much better PERSON than Spurrier. He's a prick and needs to go sit in his rocking chair and shut up. BIOTCH is his middle name.

I disagree with the title of the article. He took a shot at the person in charge over the last few years.

Spurrier is a breath of fresh air in the world of perpetual coach-speak. I, for one, find it refreshing.

That wasn't so much a verbal shot at LSU as it was a verbal shot at former coach Les Miles.

LSU's won a lot more games than they've lost so I'm not sure what Spurrier's referring to. The bigger question is why a 71 year old man doesn't have anything better to do than act like a moron.

Don't see how that could be called a shot at LSU. Isn't that exactly what cost Les Miles his job? Facts are facts.

Or you can have crappy players and lose most of your games. Go Gamecocks!

If LSU wouldn't have turned him down we wouldn't never been able to let Dinardo 'bring back the magic'. Great decision.

That's more of a shot at Miles than Tiger fans

Brodhead should have hired him and not sent Arnsparger packing to Florida. Arnsparger was pissed and hired him at Florida. If Brodhead hires Arnsparger as our AD, then Spurrier coaches the Tigers. Screw Broadhead for Life!!!

Well, I had my issue with Miles at the end...but for all of his hype in Jortsville, Spurrier had the same number of NC game appearances (2) an NCs (1) as Les did. So, maybe Spurrier speaks from experience.

FSU being in the top 5 every year had something to do with that.

Bama being in the top 5 every year has something to do with that.

LSU, for 5 yrs, under-performed expectations with the biggest gap between Roster Talent (2016 Top 3, 2nd in SEC) and Won/Loss record. Not one Top 10 finish or premier Bowl. USCe averaged 9th in the SEC in Roster Talent. The USCe game in 2015 is when JD Moore went down 1st QTR. LSU went spread, up-tempo, running 83 plays. It opened up the Offense and Guice, Fournette, and Harris all had a huge game. Although the SEC gets the most Talent the ACC passed them as the strongest Conference: "How the ACC used coaches, quarterbacks to overtake the SEC in 2016". The ACC had a 10-4 record for the year vs. the SEC -- topped by Clemson over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship -- and won those games by an average of 11.3 points.
