CoachingSearch.com is reporting that LSU running back coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson is in the mix for the head coaching position at Troy.

Larry Blakeney, Troy's current head coach announced his retirement in October and will step down after the season.

Wilson, a native of New Orleans is in his fifth season with the Tigers and currently makes $650,00 a year, according to the Advocate. Troy head coach Larry Blakeney makes $505,000 per year.

I understand wanting to be a head coach but this would not necessarily be a promotion. Good luck to Coach Wilson in whatever he decides is best. He is a great Tiger!
