Sure O can take some responsibility, but the players own it too. Dropped balls, targeting, penalties. You can coach your arse off but if the players dont do their job you're looking at having 30+ hung on you.

There is a lot of overreaction. No one knows how this loss will impact the team. Sometimes losing can actually be beneficial to a team in the long run. It was a gut check and MSU is a better team than we thought. I am not one to cry about the refs, but there were some calls that really impacted the game. I am not saying we would have won if it wasn't for those calls, but it didn't help. Either way, I think everyone needs to calm down and see how it plays out from here.. Then evaluate what is going on.

Miles would not have lost by 30 to State.

This is what you get when you settle for a coach no one else even had on staff as a position coach a few years ago. Lsu will never be relevant again until they commit to winning. Take a page from bama playbook; use brand name to get brand name coach and get rid of this mediocrity mentality.

People forget that Orgeron was an unemployed DL about 18 months ago when Miles hire him as an assistant. Beyond settled and after a full year + to do a thorough and competent search. So LSU is now stuck with Orgeron for at least the next 3 seasons because of the massive buyout.

Why in the Hell would LSU hire another Line Coach after Les Miles?
user avatar
beauchristopher79 months
He is Miles all over again. I don't get it and the offense hasn't changed any. It's worse ATM.

Who in the Hell decided to pay Orgeron so much?? If the guy had any class, he would agree to reduce his compensation by 10% for every game he loses.

JimBobDumbAss, Did Les take 10% less for each loss as the result of his retarded clock management?

Such little intelligence. Bad job coaching last night? Of course. Disappointed and terrible play? Of course. “Worst coach in the country and miles would have been won ugly”? Dear God, the things people will say when things aren’t going well.

Clowns like the Belk are reason half our "fan" base are regarded as bandwagon jumpers.

Yeah! That's why he's in the broadcast booth and not on the sidelines. I like Les as a person, but let's keep everything in perspective.

We came out fired up and ready to play. We punched State in the mouth and scored immediately to set the tone of the game. TD called back, we never mentally recovered and it was a great shot of hype for State, a team already playing well over there heads. The perfect storm. A couple of bad calls really changed the momentum of this game. Might not have mattered in the long run but the worst thing you can do is give a team like State those kind of breaks at home against LSU. Sorry, but State is not nearly as good as they played last night and LSU is nearly as bad.

This Lawrence injury is a freaking CSI episode now. As long as he's out we are really going to struggle like last night. Auburn may beat us more than this. The one difference will be hopefully we don't get as many BS calls at home.

Put it on Alleva too for hiring a D-Line coach in the first place. Call this experiment over.

. Give State credit. They were a little bit better than some of our guys thought." A little better? They whipped us. Who was the dline coach and recruited those dlinemen? YOU!

Don't worry, the fans will. Orgeron has no record of success to hide behind like Miles did in his post-2011 declining years.

I'm not sure why, but I just have this feeling O will get this turned around. No, he's not Nick Saban or Dabo Sweeny or Myer, but I do believe he loves LSU and will work his tail off to make this team better. Sadly, I'm afraid most of the work will need to be done on the recruiting trail. Until we can sign talented interior linemen the team will continue to struggle.

True, but remember: We recruited Tyler Shelvin to play DT and he couldn't make the grades to become eligible. How much could we have used him last night? And Frank Herron? And Rashard Lawrence? It's not only coaching. The players have to take responsibility, and for the most part, they did after the game. They need to learn from this and move forward.

Yes LSU got beat but that was the shittiest officiating I've seen in awhile. One of those "targeting" penalties was BS. I am sick of the pussification of this sport. Don't knock their tampon out or else it's a penalty. It's football!!! Man up!!!

I've been seeing more and more lower leg tackles and not the ankle type. I talking blast the lower sections. Hell, Fitzgerald took a nasty leg shot last night.

Hell that on targeting on our DL was BS, that fricking PI on Battle was BS, that holding called on Chark on jet sweep TD by Dillon was BS, even that blocking below the waist called on one out lineman was BS. Hell GT whole blocking scheme is chop blocks so idk

You think, we got beat on both sides of the ball as bad as when auburnt beat us 41-7 w harris at qb. The penalties were an embarrassment, as was the beat down on the lines.
user avatar
beauchristopher79 months
Yes this was worse than Auburn because we actually had a Senior qb starting as opposed to a true freshman making his first start. And that Auburn team was better imo.
