David Ching with ESPN.com put together this LSU Season Review that highlights some of the up's and down's for the Tigers in 2014. You can read the whole article here, but this is some of what he had to say about the LSU's 8-4, (4-4 SEC) season.

Best win: LSU's 10-7 victory over No. 3 Ole Miss.
Worst loss: The Tigers 20-13 OT loss to No. 5 Alabama.
Player of the year: La'el Collins.
Breakout player: Leonard Fournette.
Play of the year: You guessed it... Leonard Fournette running over Aggies safety Howard Matthews on the way to his 8th touchdown of the season.

Here is what Ching had to say about the Tigers outlook in 2015:
quote:

2015 outlook: As has been the case in several recent seasons, LSU’s success in 2015 might hinge on which underclassmen decide to enter the draft. The Tigers have been hit hard by the draft lately and might lose a handful of draft-eligible players again this year. Four of LSU’s starting offensive linemen are eligible to enter the draft, as are defensive backs Jalen Mills and Jalen Collins and linebacker Kwon Alexander. This was a young team that should improve next year, and the Tigers could be Western Division contenders if the draft hit isn’t too painful and a consistent quarterback emerges.

Loss to Arky is one of worst ever for LSU. Alabama loss is probably best loss of the year.
