It was reported last week that LSU offensive tackle K.J. Malone was close to ending his college football career early to join the U.S. Marshals Service.

Malone ultimately decided to return to LSU for his senior year and will most likely be one of the Tigers starting offensive tackles heading into 2017 season.

Over the weekend, Malone sent out this tweet to LSU fans to let everyone know he is completely committed to the team.

I'm just happy the article spelled Marshals correctly with one L. More people get it wrong than right.

Dude should have gone to Louisiana Tech. Talent was wasted at LSU

And since they know how to pass, he wouldn't have to hold his man for three hours at a time, and the run game actually opens up, making him look not mediocre at times.

His decision should only be based on what he thinks is best for him. I'm glad he is coming back. He is needed and wanted. Have a great Senior year KJ.

I'm pretty sure you need a degree and some prior experience to be a Marshal...

at least it was a honorable thing, but it's probably best if he finishes his college career

I believe he will have plenty of NFL interest as well following his senior year.

I'd like to know who thinks he doesn't have his head screwed on straight for coming back to finish his education. That sounds made up to me. Anyway, good luck this upcoming season K.J.

Only dumbass rantards that hate on him for wanting to look to his future, outside of football. Sounds like he's got his head on straight either way. Especially, since he wants to be a US Marshall.

At his age 1 year to wait to go into a profession is no big deal

Because he possibly wanted to pursue his career in law enforcement rather than sports and people were upset about this?

Proof of his love for the game. Great to have players who love playing football for LSU.

Honestly KJ, if you left early to join the NFL I would wish you luck. If you left early to join the military, I would thank you and wish you luck.

What if he left early to join the US Marshalls?

Don't listen to anyone but your own Malone, anyone judging someone else's decisions are quite twisted themselves of course unless it's their job to do like talk radio and those people are just looking for bucks, they could care less either way. Just do yall's thing big man. I believe the OL will perform on a different level in this new offense. GT
