Talented four-star dual-threat quarterback Gerry Bohanon from Earle, AR recently spoke to with SEC Country to recap his surprise visit to Baton Rouge last Saturday for the LSU-Auburn game.

Bohanon, who holds offers from many SEC schools, is rated the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 1 overall player from Arkansas for the class of 2018.

The 6-3, 211-pound from Earle High School described the atmosphere in Tiger Stadium as "crazy" and even said that he "didn't want to leave."
quote:

“I loved it. The atmosphere was crazy,” Bohanon raved. “They had me fired up. I wanted to go out there and play, especially after that punt return, which turned the whole game and everything around. It was shocking, man. I didn’t want to leave. Watching that, wow. I haven’t been watching all of their games that much, but the way they were playing game, bouncing back like that left a mark on me.”
Running back coach and recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson along with offensive coordinator Matt Canada are Bohanon's main recruiters at LSU. Both Robbinson and Canada have recently turned up the heat on Bohanon's recruitment and it's one of the reason's why he decided to visit last weekend.

When Bohanon stepped foot onto campus, the blue-chip quarterback was escorted to the sidelines right in front of where the LSU football team was warming up. He was instantly met by an array of Tigers coaches, including Canada and Robinson.

The ovation he received from the coaching staff continues to resonate with Bohanon, who was mesmerized by the campus and the newly established interest from LSU.

“They were hollering my name,” Bohanon laughed. “They were shocked that I was there and they were hollering, ‘Gerry! Gerry! Gerry!'”
Consider LSU a major contender for the four-star prospect as recruiting heats up.

I wonder if he got a chance to chat with Narcisse and Mcmillan?

I see O I telling these athletes what they want to hear to get them on campus. Good strategy to get the talent back up. Bohanan and Joiner should excel under Aranda

Hope Gerry got some of that good tailgate food! He would be a good QB for us as long as he can pass and not just run. The run is good for when he has to run or run by design. I think Canada can develop him to a good passer and use his athletic ability for the run. Come to LSU Gerry!

This is not the time for one of yalls dual threat lectures. It's been beaten into the ground.

they probably brought him to one of those Southern University parties after. LSU's oldest recruiting trick!

He didn't get shot so I doubt they took him to a Southern University party.

@ronk And he didn't get alcohol poisoning either, so I guess he missed that frat party too.

Come be a Tiger, and eat roasted hog! Or be a hog, and get roasted! The choice is obvious!
