LSU head coach Ed Orgeron joined the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday and was asked if he had a message for the fans after last Saturday's embarrassing 37-7 loss to Mississippi State.

Orgeron responded by saying he understands the disappointment from the fans and understands the expectations at LSU.

Talk is cheap. Can you beat SEC teams is the real question.

Yeah - these guys understand it all the way to the bank on $3.5 Million + a year along with a $12M buyout. Not bad for a DL Coach that Miles took off the unemployment line a couple of years ago .......

Coach O understood the expectations and the pressures of being the HC of the LSU Tigers from the begining. No one could've imagine that DC Dave Aranda's defense would've surrendered over 200 yrds rushing and get those penalties at the most cricial times. Really those penalties broke our back. Everytime we made a move either TD or first down it was called back. Everytime we stopped Miss. st. on 3rd down we gave them a 1st down and kept their drives alive. If we want to be competitive we must fix the penalty problem and we will back on track.

Same old tired Cajun jokes. Get behind our coach and let's give him the full allotted time he deserves which is not for us to decide or continuously complain about.

I really want O to succeed. Obviously it is better if we are not on another search because it would mean things went way wrong. And, it is obvious to me that this isn't just another coach job for him. His heart is all in on this job at LSU and no one wants to win more than he wants to win and not just because it's his job. He loves this place and I think it shows. I'm sure he is completely embarrassed by Saturday. So while I was not all in on the hire, I have to pull for him.

I agree. He was no where close to my first, second or third choice. I honestly thought Florida did us a favor by beating O. That said, he is the coach of the school I graduated from and absolutely love. I hope he wins and does well. Just flat cannot see it happening. This may sound crazy, but I hope, if he is going to fail, it happens suddenly and strongly such that he and Alleva are both gone quickly. O will then be fine (buyout) and LSU can move one from a colossal screw up courtesy of one of the worst AD's ever. Rambling reply I know..... just typing it quickly straight from my heart while sitting in an evening traffic jam.

I do, unfortunately, think this process is necessary and don't like that fact that the SEC is as dishonest as it is. Example: Thomas Ritter referee.... or the officiating in Alabama vs. LSU 2016. Two good examples of a cracked league system in my opinion.
