During the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday, head coach Ed Orgeron talked about sensational sophomore linebacker Devin White who he compared to NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp.
Orgeron coached Sapp when he was the defensive line coach at Miami (FL) in 1992.
White was named Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for his dominant performance vs. Auburn.

quote:Through seven games this season, White leads the SEC in both tackles (77) and tackles per game (11.0). He ranks third nationally in total tackles and has 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
