The Dallas Cowboys passed on picking up a fifth-year option on former LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne's contract. Per ESPN:
quote:Claiborne was drafted by the Cowboys with sixth overall pick in 2012. He has played in just 14 games over the past two seasons because of injuries.
Had the Cowboys picked up the option, Claiborne would have been due $11.08 million in 2016.
Claiborne is set to make $2.607 million in 2015, the final year of a contract, and become a free agent after the 2015 season.
