The Blue Ribbon Yearbook announced their Preseason All-American team this week and LSU Freshman Ben Simmons was named to the team. Per NOLA.com:

Simmons and Kentucky forward Skal Labissiere both earned the honor, marking the first time in the publication's 35 years that two freshmen have made the team.

Two seniors, Virginia's Malcolm Brogdon and Iowa State's Georges Niang, and Providence junior Kris Dunn rounded out the group.
Simmons has not played an official college game for LSU yet, but averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 3.6 steals and 2.2 blocks in 35.4 minutes during LSU's five-game exhibition tour through Australia.
