It was announced last week that LSU basketball will play Wichita State in their opening game of the Battle 4 Atlantis 2016.

The eight-team tournament starts Nov. 23rd at the Imperial Arena at the Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island, Bahamas. Per LSUSports.net:

This will mark the second time in three years that LSU has left the continental United States as LSU played in the U.S. Virgin Island in November 2014 in the Paradise Jam.

The tournament runs Nov. 23-25 with each team guaranteed three games. ESPN and AXS-TV will share the broadcast coverage of the tournament.

LSU will open against the Shockers in the opening game of the tournament at 11 a.m. CT on Nov. 23 on ESPN2. The other first-round matchups are Baylor vs. VCU; Michigan State vs. St. John’s; Old Dominion vs. Louisville. LSU would play either Louisville or Old Dominion on the second day of the event.

We won't be ranked as high as any of those teams. We could get coached into the tourney with the #1 player in the country!
