Watch: Greg Deichmann Crushes Home Run To The Moon

LSU junior infielder Greg Deichmann absolutely crushed a home run over the right-field Intimidator sign during the 1st inning of the Hofstra game on Wednesday night.

The ball was reportedly hit 486 feet. Per The Advocate:

“Anything that travels that far ought to have a flight attendant,” Mainieri said.

The estimated carry of Deichmann’s third home run of the young season, according to LSU’s TrackMan ball tracking system: 486 feet.

“When you hit a ball like that, you really don’t feel it,” Deichmann said. “It’s kind of one of those things that nobody knows how to describe. It’s the best feeling in the world, but there’s no feeling when it comes off the bat.”

I never thought that I would see a ball hit further than the one by Hawpe in Hoover, but that was it.

I was at the game when Bowie had a ball finally stop rolling at Bernie Moore. No shite. Belle hit one off my cousin that hit the married students appartments. That ball was crushed as well, but the wind was blowing out. Do t know how far it went but those apartments were 2 separate fences away from the other fences.

....sadly I witnessed this in Houston several years back when Albert Pujols sent one over the left field fence to give the Cardinals a lead in the 8th inning. The place went dead quiet.
