Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long will not return as chairman of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee next season, according to multiple sources. Per CBSSports.com:
quote:

Long, who has served as AD at Arkansas since 2008, will no longer be on the CFP Selection Committee in any role. A handful of committee members' terms are set to expire this cycle, which should add some fresh blood to the two-year-old playoff entering the 2016 season.

I hope to God that they don't bring in a big ten guy.

I can't blame him. Between running Arkansas athletics and having to drive Bert to and from cardiologist appointments, he just doesn't have enough time for the committee.

Welp, that leaves out Alleva- not that anyone now outside of LSU would probably hire him for anything other than janitorial work.
