Tonight we are a women’s basketball school and I’m just fine with that. Coach Yo is pretty damn good.

I was a Beard or bust guy, but Dusty May looks legit tonight. If rumors are true and it was between him/Beard then I’m glad we had the right candidates in mind instead of just winging it and hoping something works out.

May has proved he’s a good coach but like you said, Beard was the guy we needed to hire. Carter is a basketball guy so you knew he wasn’t going to go small on his first basketball hire

Yeah I think May making a deep run like this would have forced us to either overpay him or make him wait it out for better offers/use us for leverage. I think jumping on Beard quickly was smart and proving to be a better move as time has gone on.
