Misunderstanding? They knew he was a celebrity and they still charged him with all those things
"At that point the police officers did not know he was a player in the tournament."
Lol you are trying wayyyyyyyyy too hard
Scottie did something that numerous golfers on tour already did that morning. If it was so bad, how is he already released and expected to be back at the course i the next 10 minutes?
Poor sarge. So desperate

Your last post said there was zero misunderstanding, and then the first witness of what happened clearly said there was a misunderstanding
Sorry this bogus arrest can no longer be the biggest pga tour achievement in aggie history

He definitely said something he shouldn’t have to the cop
He also disobeyed the officer repeatedly and the officer felt the need to physically attach himself to the car in an effort to protect other first responders
That is quite hyperbolic. I'm sure Scottie was an imminent threat to the life and well being of those "first responders." He should be charged with attempted murder, which is what he was trying to do; murder those "first responders."

He’s shouting it to the police
Kid, you really are that dumb, it’s not an act is it?

So if I shouted "stop - he's the king of England" next time I see the police detaining someone, then it should be official protocol for the police to have a full understanding that they're apprehending King Charles III?
Dude... this is getting more sad with each post. You're getting bodied in your own thread

Please explain why a pro golfer should get different treatment than anyone else on a public street.

They stopped and waited and then were escorted around
Your dingleberry drove past shouting cops and over a median and around a body

Trying to make one of the nicest professional athletes in the world look like a scumbag because he went to UT is pathetic, even for you Sarge. You didn't even get into A&M, this level of hatred is unhealthy.

Kinda ironic to call his comment "hyperbolic" and follow it up with a strawman. It is not at all necessary for a driver to be intentionally putting others in danger (or trying to "murder" them) for an officer to stop them for the safety of first responders. The driver could just be ignorant of the situation and a danger because of that ignorance.
Do you really believe every time an officer stops someone in one of these incidents that they are trying to stop an attempted murder?

I saw the police shove him against the car and put handcuffs on him. The ESPN reporter tried to explain what Scotty was trying to do but quickly told the media they better back up if they didn't want to go to jail too. He made it painfully clear Scotty was going to jail.
I support the blue, but this sounds like an a-hole cop.
