I once took a continuing education petroleum engineering course at PetroSkills in Houston, there was a guy who looked like them paid to come here by Saudi Aramco, prob 10k class, 3k flight plus other stuff likely. He went 1 time for the first 30 minutes for 1st day of the 10 day course. The other 10 days he spent shopping at malls. The course administrator never gave him his certificate of completion.
This happened often in petroleum engineering at LSU too. They all sat in back row and would talk to each other in their language during exams.

Can’t stand them. It’s not like a one off thing either. They’re almost all like that in my experience. Just obnoxious and have no manners.

They have no reason to put in any effort. They are given guaranteed jobs at organizations when they return just because of the country they were born in. I know of cases where we had names on our payroll and never saw those people at work. Maybe once per year they would make a 30 minute appearance. Because they are protected you cannot release them and just have to deal with it.
