Unfortunately I’ve lost all hope in this franchise, when you can make Jurassic Park III look like a masterpiece you’ve fricked up

Following his breakout role in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is looking to go from defending clients to evading dinosaurs. He is in negotiations to join Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s new Jurassic World movie. Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey are also set to star. Gareth Edwards will direct.

The writers are so preoccupied with whether they could, they forgot to ask whether they should.

They shouldn’t do this, but if they do.
Forget where they’ve taken the series so far, it’s a lost cause.
At some point they retook the island and set up the revamped park. That movie could be good.
Also could complete the circle of finding the shaving cream can that showed up as a trophy in the last movie.

Just reboot and make it true to the book.

Just let it die already

Look at great works which then carried on withOUT the author's direct input.
Lord of the Rings - Tolkien
Jurassic Park - Crichton
Game of Thrones - GRRM.
The Witcher - Andrzej Sapkowski
It's almost full proof, that whenever there's a deviation from the source material, or the one who created it, the result is a trainwreck.
Few were ever more invested with Jurassic Park than I was when it came out. Saw it multiple times in the theater, own the movie AND soundtrack. I've BEEN to Montanta to see fossils... This franchise lost me at JP3 after hearing the director's desire for a bigger, newer bad - Spinosaurus. Laughable. Then they double down with the ridiculous DNA chimera hybrids... that's so not what Crichton was trying to convey.
Fine if it made some people a living wage. I tapped out of Jurassic World. never saw the last 2 (?) movies. I forget.
Going to take a special effort and real pivot to earn my interest back.
