likely put caps on all this.

I don't think this will ever happen because lawsuits will be coming at an alarming rate.

Something will change however to govern this. The NCAA was stupid and had no plan before they opened Pandora’s box. However I think the AD’s, university President's, and conference powers that be see this has gotten way out of hand and know there needs to be some rules and from what I’ve read Congress is stepping in to help. From last I saw there was even agreement from the players representatives so it will happen sooner rather than later.

I agree that capping money won't be a thing. I do think contracts are coming though. I hope its 2 year contracts where the player and the school are locked in for 2 years given that the player meets conduct and academic standards. I doubt the contracts will have any monetary compensation as that will still likely be an NIL thing but the contracts will give both the players and schools some stability. After 2 years, you can get in the portal or sign at your current school for 2 more years. If you have a 5th year, you can either transfer or stay for the additional 5th year.

Congress put a bill forward to shield the ncaa, conferences, and schools from lawsuits. Giving them more power to make policies without being sued every time.
