It takes a lot of inexperience to make a team with Luka and Kyrie look good defensively.
I think both teams have done well on defense. OkC has shot poor this whole series too. Some are defense by Mavs. But Thunder had so many open shots last night and just didn't make them. If they do then its a ballgame. They were 10-40 on 3’s. When they missed it allowed Mavs to get down court with advantages. It was the difference in game.
OKC had the right gameplan but missing shots hurts in many ways.
It was a great “ref” game. They did not become the main event and let them play. FTs were Mavs13-OKC10 but was really even taking out the late game intentional ones. First game I’ve watched in a long time where Luka actually played ball vice whine. Someone finally got to him.
OKC are young and for whatever reason they are flat missing shots they made all year. They won most games besides Boston, so did some amazing things in reg season. But now they all went cold other than SGA. Thats the difference in the series. That and certain Mavs like PJ shooting way above average on their 3’s.
They are still not out. Good experience for them too. How do they respond Sat? Most times players eventually get back to their averages. Will they in time? And will PJ come back to his? Thats the difference in games.
