Data Golf seems like the best product by far right now for world rankings. The biggest issue with OWGR is that too many of the first wave players have dropped to levels that even if the OWGR started ranking them, field strength would be way too low.
The No Laying Up guys talked about a cool tool on Data Golf that I have been playing around with called Tournament Summaries. It shows the field strength of each tournament by strokes gained. It also has a formula called "X-Score" which is the probability the field beats a +2 strokes gained player.
If you sort tournaments by strokes gained, LIV tournaments are behind the Signature/Elevated/whatever small field events the PGA is doing and Waste Management, but above the rest of the run of the mill PGA tournaments. By X Score, due to field size, the PGA tournaments are ranked as harder. But LIV tournaments have a higher X Score than DP World Tour.

Pride - what do you think about the PGA going to a closed shop for it's elevated events? I don't think they are much better than a LIV event when you only have a few spots open to based on the results of the prior regular PGA events, especially when the sponsorship exemptions are going to guys like Peter Malnati and Webb Simpson.
It will be very interesting to see how much churn that top 50 has in FedEx points at the end of the season, because if 40/45 out of 50 guys remain the same, it is basically LIV with the veneer of qualifying.

I think that is why Norman finally threw in the towel.
