Tennessee is likely to go the furthest in the SEC. Alabama could make some noise, but could also lose in the second round. Kentucky, same thing, and I think Alabama is a little better than Kentucky. Would not be surprised to see only one SEC team make it to the second weekend.

With a little luck, the SEC has several teams capable of an Elite 8 run. Those include UT, Bama, UK, Auburn, and perhaps Florida.

SC says hello...

Barnes has never lost in the first weekend as a 1 or 2 seed even with all of his mediocrity in March.

Creighton whooped UCONN, as did Seton Hall; are they better? I look at the body of work; Bama got annihilated but Kentucky played otherworldly too. I just think Alabama is better than Kentucky overall. Neutral court, I like Bama by a handful.

And Kentucky wants to fire Calipari after every loss. What else is new?

Probably not, but it isn’t Knecht’s fault that two of their starting guards disappear in most games offensively

You had a shite tier take on him early in the year, and now you’re pulling this weak arse move?

What take was that? The box score showing he shot a generational 4 of 17 in a 69-60 loss to KU?

Damn, the loss must still sting.

UT has been the most consistent and is probably playing better than anyone in the league, but it's still Feb. UT has made 22 NCAAs and has one great 8, no final fours.

USC has 9 NCAAs and has gone farther than UT ever has.

MSU has 11 NCAAs and has also gone farther than UT ever has.

Not to pick on just UT, Bama has 20 NCAAs and has flamed out in the tourney as bad as UT, with only 1 great 8.

Bottom line, hard to bet on Bama or UT in the NCAA

Sure you are.

Why are you curious if you’re also here just 9 days?

I have been following sports, the rant, etc. for a long time and decided to join in. I know some on here create alters, etc. Not me. I lived in Lawrence, Kansas from 1987-1990

My first year there Kansas (with Danny Manning) beat Oklahoma for the National Championship. Awesome time and a great time watching the streets of Lawrence light up that evening.

To dependent on DK. That wont fly in the ncaa tournament. Unless coaches go to zone
You make a derogatory post about the team that has just kicked Auburn's arse every time it happens!

Yes both programs are well aware that we're the answer to the trivia question: what are the two best programs to never have success in March?

That's why I kinda laugh at people that try to make this a Barnes issue. It's not. The tourney is setup for chaos and because that makes for great viewing that will never change. Unfortunately we've drawn the short straw and a lot of teams that should've gone farther and would've had the tourney been a 2 out of 3 (or more) game setup. Single elimination has been a killer in a game that often allows players to have magical nights and terrible nights that don't necessarily match their overall level of play.
