Wow we took a chance on him and e leaves for lowly Arkansas? I don’t buy it but whatever.

If I’m Carter, I’m point blank asking Beard if the rumors of him wanting the job and using back channels to negotiate with Arkansas are true. If he says no then “ok, sign this extension before you leave this room”.
