Olemomoi’s first-place time of 15:06.42, Orogot’s first-place time of 19.90 and Robinson’s first-place time of 47.95 is the fastest time in the NCAA this season in their respective events

GAINESVILLE, Fl. – Alabama track and field's Tarsis Orogot highlighted the opening day of the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, clocking the NCAA-leading time in the men's 200-meter dash via a personal-best 19.90 sprint. The junior's time is the 13th-fastest in collegiate history, a Ugandan national record, an East African record, and the school record.

In addition to Orogot's thrilling performance, Senior Chris Robinson grabbed a first-place finish in the men's 400m hurdles with a personal-best 47.95, clocking the fastest time in the nation this season, as well as improving his sixth-fastest collegiate record and school record.

On the west coast at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Hilda Olemomoi stole the spotlight in the women's 5,000-meter after she recorded the second-fastest time in collegiate history, the NCAA-leading time, and the program record with a personal-best 15:06.42.
