Dak was the only player drafted on that offense and still won 10 games.

They’re currently blaming Mullen for all of Dak’s big losses. His NFL coaches have let him down as well. Poor guy.

Regardless of what you think of Dak it's undeniable Merlin is crazy overrated once you do a deep dive on who he got all his wins against and the Cows have had mediocre HCs and OCs w/Dak as the QB.

What I do know is that Dak is the only QB to lead MSU to 10 wins in Merlin's 9 years there.

I thought Derunnya Wilson and Josh Robinson went in later rounds?

I'd argue the games Dak won had meaning at the time they were played.

MSU lost to Tech. A decent Tech team, but any elite team destroys them.

bullshite. That offense Tech ran could keep them in any game. Mullen ran off our DC after the Egg Bowl, so we were without a DC against Paul Johnson's offense. Mullen's control freak arse was calling both the O and D. Recipe for sn arse beating.

You beat arkansas by 13. I’ll give you that you whooped Auburn.

Did you see that game? It played out similar to the Tennessee game last year. We got way up and they were just chunking the ball the whole second half to try to get back into it. We were up 38-6 at half time and led by 26 with 13 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

But how can you not say 2010 or 2013 Bama was worse than 2014?

You may have a point with 2010, though I would still favor that team over the 2014 version.

2013? Come on. That team lost on a miracle and handled everyone else they played in the regular season with ease. Saban has even said that team was better than the previous two back to back natty teams.

They lost to a 6-7 N. Carolina. Barely beat Ga. Southern. FSU was exposed in the playoff as you could sort of see they were living off of the weak ACC that year. So that close loss was not nearly as impressive as Tech wanted to make it be.

Dak won the 2016 national championship by defeating the previously undefeated Notre Dame buckeyes in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

Moo St won a couple big games early season over ranked teams and ended up the first #1 team in the CFP era.
trivia question that deserves to stand the test of time. I have mates and fam I watch college football with all the time and don’t think more than one has ever gotten that little nugget right when I ask who the first #1 team ever was in the CFP rankings. Moo St’s claim to fame.

Hey didn’t we beat that Ga Tech team’s arse the year before in a bowl game?

Josh Robinson and Malcolm Johnson were taken in the 2015 NFL draft. Justin Senior was taken in 2017.
