Gus' offense went stale, but yall would still be recruiting top 15 classes if he were there. Firing him almost feels like a Nebraska/ Frank Solich move of a spoiled fan base searching for greener grass and finding a desert.

How many 10 win seasons do y'all have since 2000? Legitimately curious and too lazy to Google during the morning constitution.

6 ten win seasons since 2000 but also a lot of head scratching loses as well.

2014 meltdown

2005 Citrus Bowl loss as huge favorite to remain at 9 wins

2019 Citrus Bowl loss as big favorite to remain at 9 wins.

Lot of 7-9 win seasons, some 10 win seasons and championship caliber season about every 5 or so years. Im not sure that enviroment or ceiling even exists for AU at the moment. The Pat Dye Auburn ceiling is for sure out of reach.

Auburn doesn't rebuild, they just have all the stars align in one magical season where walk ons become All SEC and the best teams in America suddenly become turnover machines when they walk into JHS.
Auburn is the one team in America where you LITERALLY dont know wtf they are gonna do.

we are going to be Bama in the early 2000s.

Going to? You are 12-12 the last 2 seasons and recruiting on the bottom 1/3 of the SEC. You are already there.

Alabama won an SEC championship in the early 2000’s? I must’ve missed that.

Bama was the western division champs in 02 but due to sanctions.....UGA would have lost the rematch in Atlanta.

Your ceiling isn't that high. We still won an SEC title back then. You don't have a prayer of that.
Auburn went to the BCS NCG two years after going 8-5 and a year after going 3-9.

Go ahead and throw out the “luck” comment.

Well, we aren't on probation at least...

Of course Harsin is recruiting like we are.

It looks like Auburn maybe on the same path that Nebraska has been on for so long. With Arkansas well on their way back to their rightful place among the very best and Ole Miss right behind us, Bama and Georgia already there, Kentucky getting real close and hell man you know LSU won't be down more than another 3 or 4 years I just don't see any room for Auburn for a long time. A&M will probably drop back to about a 6 win team so you may be able to pass them.

when do we start the 15 game seasons.....

8 and 4 becomes 10 and 5.....

10 win seasons used to mean more when we played 11 games....

Auburn will be okay. It’s smoldering. you dont see anything unless you’re close to it, then you know it just takes a little of the right materials to flame back up. over/under- 4 yrs.

That would normally seem logical, but Auburn was averaging 8 wins even in the 11 game/season era and they're doing the same in 12 game/season era.
