I think Georgia will win another natty during that timeframe.

That's very conservative.

UGA and LSU are bluebloods before Texas. All have the same number of NCs, with UGA and LSU more recent

Exactly....not to mention that Texas won theirs while in two Romper Room Conferences.

Plus, among UGA's and LSU's national titles are CFP titles, more prestigious than opinionated poll titles --- Texas has NONE.

I think you can pull Bama and Michigan from that list. Bama without Sabin and MI without Harbaugh don't strike a lot of fear just yet. Georgia belongs, TexAss might have turned the corner - we shall see. LSU - I don't think Kelly has ever had a team with a good defense. Can Lanning continue to succeed in his new conference? As a Sooner fan, I would love to say OU - but until BV and company can prove it, they don't belong on this list. Ohio St will move back to the top of the B10 - but UCLA, Rhule at Nebraska, along with Lanning at Oregon will be harder outs than Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Indiana - LOL. Right now, until someone can prove otherwise, I think it's Georgia's world - and we are all just living in it.

Your suggestion. Personally, I have 18 reasons to be nostalgic. Long-term and short.

I would definitely put USC in the box marked 'other'.

The Cocks don't have the NIL budget.

We were in the same division as the best team in college football. Hard to win the East that way regardless of how good you are. We beat the top two west teams that year as well.

Georgia has a combined 8-1 all-time record against Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Michigan.

3-0 versus Notre Dame
2-0 versus Ohio State
2-1 versus Michigan
1-0 versus Oklahoma

You obviously have no clue that Georgia holds the highest bowl game winning percentage among top end division one programs.

Texas is 8-2-1 against Alabama..
I guess that makes Texas a better program.. right?

That has been a conference match up all along.

The point I was making is that you call some of these teams blue bloods by virtue of playing cupcake schedules.

At the beginning of each season how often do you hear about Ohio State and Michigan squaring off in the biggest game of the year during the last week in November?

Given the fact that Alabama has won at least one NC every decade (expect the 50's and 80's) since 1920 would show the opposite.

Alabama always find its next National Title winning coach, always. We give most coaches three or four years, if they do not win, it is "next"

So, you played one tough team each year when you played OU and that was it. Whoever said Romper Room conference was right.
