I agree with everything you said but Coleman is in a different stratosphere than anyone we’ve gotten before. Then you have Perry, Bryce and Malcom Simmons.

We have to keep it going but if those guys play to their potential, that should turn massive heads with WR recruits

I’m not debating that but just an example of anything can happen. Chance westry looked like in Israel that he would be a possible 1 and done first round pick. He still hasn’t played any significant minutes in college yet.

We have to stop putting massive amount of expectations because no one will ever live up to it. Let’s discuss what they accomplished after they are done with their AU careers.

Jeremy Johnson was gonna win the heisman after a half against Arkansas the year before

Top ranked WR each year since 2018

Justin Shorter- Penn State commit
Redshirted
2nd year caught 10 passes for 137 yards transferred to Florida didn’t do much
Drafted 5th round nothing essentially in the pros

2019 - Jadon Haslewood committed to Okie played 3 years of basically nothing. He did have 300 yards receiving his junior year before transferring to Arky
Nothing in the Pros

2020 - Jaxon Smith-Njibga committed to Ohio state
Freshman season 43 yards receiving
Sophomore 1600 yards receiving
Junior season 43 years receiving
First round draft pick

2021 - Emeka Ebuka committed to Ohio state
In 3 seasons he had receiving yards of 191, 1151, and 515
Still in college

2022 - Evan Steward committed to aTm
Has not recorded a college reception.
Transferred to Oregon after last season

Cam Coleman wasn’t even the top WR this class he was number 2 behind the top player in the country Jeremiah Smith. Just further showing there are zero guarantees. That’s why you must stack elite prospects on top of elite prospects year over year

And that you also have to invest in TOP QB talent. I hope we’re operating with that in mind going forward.

Evan Stewart literally caught a TD pass against us and was one of the top transfer receivers to Oregon. He's had two "solid" but not elite seasons in college so far, but that's fine for a true freshman and sophomore who had struggling QBs. I do agree that Cam Coleman has to show in game before I crown him, but he has as much, if not more talent than 90% of the high level (HS)receivers I've seen the past decade. It would be a crime if he didn't get at least 600-700+ yards THIS YEAR.

If I remember correctly, isnt his brother currently at Tuskegee, so he would be familiar with us. I know he has already visited before, now coming for an official.

I just noticed Malachi Goodman is coming in today as well.

Dice, Shull, Babalola, Goodman, we gettin all the tackles

I hate that the weather is so bad this weekend. Hopefully that won't hurt us.

I've heard recruits hate when schools can't control the weather

The "locked on Penn State" announcer said they rescheduled Alvin Henderson's visit because they had bad weather.....it must have worked....seems the weather does matter

just messin with ya dough, but the fella did say they didnt want to shock him with the climate difference on a first visit.

I think it matters to some degree. But I think all of these kids have been to Auburn before

Alvin Henderson is on campus today with all the official visitors

He’s a solid pickup and has gotten some solid offers the past two months.
